The focus of my work is on the application of technology to improve the delivery of healthcare, both for patients and for clinicians. I am especially interested in how the electronic health record can be leveraged to improve medication management, clinical documentation and clinician handoffs. In 2015 I developed the Boston Children’s Hospital Clinical Informatics Fellowship Program, one of the first ACGME approved pediatric Clinical Informatics training programs in the country. I attended medical school at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and completed my residency in the Boston Combined Residency Program at Boston Children’s Hospital and Boston Medical Center. I continued on as a Chief Resident at Boston Children’s Hospital, where I began practicing Clinical Informatics
