Description
We conducted an in-person, self-administered survey using Qualtrics survey software with a convenience sample recruited from the waiting area of a community based organization located in Birmingham, AL. 83.7% (N=128) of persons own a smartphone with most of these (79.9%) being Android users. 82.4% (N=126) of participants use a mobile device at least once/day. Our survey findings support the use of mobile technology for the delivery of health interventions even in a low income, poorly educated, and racial minority population.
Describe the new knowledge and additional skills the participant will gain after attending your presentation.: Participants will learn about the current uptake and ownsership of mobile technology in the Deep Soth.
