Description
Electronic prescribing is increasingly leveraged by providers but remains fraught with over-alerting. We evaluate the sustainability of previous alert configuration changes and examine specific use-cases and interventions with four years of additional data. As the result of regular modification of dosing rules, we have seen a sustained decrease in percentage of all orders that had a single dose overdose alert from 8% to 5% while simultaneously increasing the salience of the remaining alerts.
