Description
There is often a mismatch between the needs of a country that has been affected by a humanitarian emergency versus the aid delivered because of large gaps in available data. Taking a user-centered design approach, we interviewed key stakeholders on the technical and functional requirements for a unified donor coordination platform. Stakeholders unanimously agreed that such a system should exist and provided detailed information on its requirements for acceptance by the humanitarian sector.
Describe the new knowledge and additional skills the participant will gain after attending your presentation.: The attendees will be able to understand the role information technology can play in ensuring the availability of required aid during a humanitarian emergency. Attendees will be able to associate how timely availability of aid will facilitate delivery of clinical care to prevent further epidemic outbreaks and maintain the health of those impacted.
