Description

Many electronic health records include mobile applications that allow providers to capture photographs of clinical findings and upload them to a patient’s medical record. The attitudes and experiences of providers who have used such applications are largely unclear. We report the results of a survey sent to 1,463 health care providers who had used an internally-developed application at our institution to understand how it was impacting our clinical practice and identify barriers to use.

Describe the new knowledge and additional skills the participant will gain after attending your presentation.: After this session, the attendee will be able to
- Categorize common users and uses of mobile point-of-care clinical photography.
- Describe how point-of-care clinical photography may facilitate patient care needs.
- Recognize how point-of-care clinical photography application upload failures may adversely affect adoption rates.
