Bio

MD-MBA Candidate at Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine, MS4 and Tuck School of Business, 1st Year | IT Specialist at The Dartmouth Institute | Ex-Epic | Epic Consultant at MedDocLive
I feel so lucky be studying towards an MD-MBA and working as an IT/Epic Consultant on various projects. I am interested in pursuing a career as a clinician (specialty undetermined) and physician informaticist. I feel motivated to keep balancing these two fields to improve how healthcare is delivered, how research is performed, and how I can contribute with my background at the interface of clinical care and the EHR. I'm open to other consulting ideas and interested in medical education as it relates to health IT, start up opportunities, as well as research/database creation. I worked at Epic for over 3 years as a Project Manager in Madison, WI and was able to visit over 70 different hospitals across the country. During my first year at Epic, I also worked part-time as a pro cheerleader for the NBA team--the Milwaukee Bucks. Next, I took a year-long hiatus to take science classes and the MCAT. In the following year, I utilized my Epic skills as a consultant on several projects while applying to medical school. I traveled the world for 75 days (20 countries, 6 continents) before starting medical school in Fall 2015. Since starting medical school, I have been involved in several Epic-related projects as a consultant. Two projects at The Dartmouth Institute focus on a learning health system and I have provided Epic expertise to create unique solutions to this data challenge. I've also supported various hospital and clinic go-lives during medical school as a consultant. More recently, I've been working remotely on an Epic project as an analyst for a large hospital system.
