Description

Usability testing is essential for optimal clinical decision aid design. We developed a website to help Cystic Fibrosis (CF) patients make informed treatment decisions. Usability testing revealed several areas for improvement, including content additions, text clarifications, visibility, and navigation improvements. Modifying our website based on end-user recommendations will increase the tool’s comprehension and overall usefulness, leading to greater adoption and end-user benefit. Our approach is applicable to a wide range of health information technology solutions.

Describe the new knowledge and additional skills the participant will gain after attending your presentation.: Participants will learn the importance of usability testing to optimize the design of clinical decision aids.
