4:30 PM–5:30 PM May 1, 2019 (US - Eastern)

Altitude

Description

We sought to enable providers to reflect on the quality of care they provide by aggregating data at the provider level from the electronic medical record and presenting it to providers in the form of an interactive dashboard. We sought early input from providers as we created a tool that they would find useful. Here we present a sample of the transformation of the dashboard from initial conception to current iteration and suggest some guidelines for future efforts that will help ensure physician feedback is meaningful and actionable based on the input of the physicians that commented on various versions of our dashboard.

Describe the new knowledge and additional skills the participant will gain after attending your presentation.: Participants will gain knowledge on suggested principles for delivering provider feedback such as: choose meaningful and actionable metrics, ensure appropriate attribution of responsibility, demonstrate progress over time, enable transparency in the data, encourage frequent engagement and highlight strengths and weaknesses automatically.
