Both clinicians and Informaticists are often infatuated by the most sophisticated solutions to address the problems of physician burnout, patient experience, and EHR inefficiencies. New products are not always financially reasonable and can create more burden then they relieve. By carefully considering and engaging with the clinical workforce, preexisting but underused tools within your EHR may be utilized to fulfill the best practices for your users, both the clinicians and patients.
