Description

In this study, our objective was to increase enrollment in an online patient portal from 15% to 25%.We evaluated the efficacy of a three-phase quality improvement intervention consisting of portal information being provided first via a paper hand-out, second via an in-person volunteer, and third via an email. Enrollment improved over the course of each phase and we identified the volunteer visits as the most effective intervention.

Describe the new knowledge and additional skills the participant will gain after attending your presentation.: Participants will gain an appreciation of how online patient portal sign up rates were affected by providing portal information via a paper handout, an in-person volunteer, and an email.
