Description
Clinical documentation in an ambulatory clinic can account for up to 24% of total physician time on the electronic health record (EHR). Using a physician-led approach to clinic modernization, we were able to decrease time spent on documentation per patient and improve physician perceived ease of documentation in the ambulatory setting.
Describe the new knowledge and additional skills the participant will gain after attending your presentation.: Participants will see the results of a physician led optimization to an academic pediatric gastroenterology clinic. They will have opportunity to discuss workflow analysis methods, Epic user interface enhancements, and change management principals which led to overall physician satisfaction and improvements in documentation speed.
