Description

Our study uses a framework based on the Five Rights of Clinical Decision Support (CDS) to identify and evaluate CDS alerts that are firing in abundance and opposing the “five rights” of CDS. We identify two case scenarios of alerts that are firing inappropriately to the end-user. We plan to use our framework to identify and evaluate the complete health system catalog to reduce unnecessary alerting.

Attendees will have a better understanding of a framework that they could use to identify and evaluate clinical decision support alerts. Using this framework, they could reduce the amount of unnecessary alerting.
