The growing availability of linkable healthcare data (e.g., clinical assessments, physiologic measures), improvements in computing power and advanced analysis capability through machine learning we have new opportunities to improve our understanding of illness and treatment. Further, these capabilities allow us to reexamine long-held clinical standards of practice or ‘rules of thumb’ using data science methodology. We demonstrate this exploration among neonates.

Describe the new knowledge and additional skills the participant will gain after attending your presentation.: Session attendees will identify the benefit of machine learning derived data visualization for data exploration.
